Whether in a rush or craving a deliciously sweet treat, these chocolate-covered hazelnut dates are the perfect to-go snack. Loaded with natural sugars, fibres, and antioxidants.

Hazelnut Butter (Can be substituted with peanut butter or almond butter)

Dark Chocolate Chips

Crushed Pecans

Unsweetened Coconut Flakes

Start with your dates, cut a slice down the middle and pit them (unless they are previously pitted)

Start by using any butter of choice to fill the dates, following up by closing them and putting them on a clean plate.

Put your dates in the freezer for 30 minutes or more.

After your dates are frozen, melt your chocolate chips and dip each date into the dissolved substance.

Top with your favourite toppings; mine are unsweetened coconut shreds and crushed pecans.

Fresh dates are much easier to make this recipe with as they are soft and easy to cut.

Using whole ingredients is vital to clean eating, and ensuring your butter spread has minimal ingredients / clean ingredients is essential.
